My new book

As I embark on my annual round of interviewing potential candidates to join the growing Radius Graduate scheme, it is always interesting to listen to the questions they have brought along to ask me, about what I think is important in terms of how they approach their first role.

I always say to them that I want them to enjoy working here which I believe to be a key element if they are going to embrace one of the most critical attributes I look for in my management, that is “Someone that cares for Radius”. This quality tends to then permeate everything that a person does in their role and is one that is nearly always present in our top performers.

It is therefore no surprise that Lesson 1 in the book I’ve been writing for the last five years is “Care for every pound as if it’s your own” as this is always a direct indicator of how someone perceives the company they work for and an understanding that income is actually very hard earned and that money doesn’t ever just “grow on trees”!

I finished the final editing of the book several weeks ago and I’m hoping it will be available sometime towards the end of August. However, as a little bit of a taster I plan to put a few of the lessons on-line at billholmes.me over the next couple of months and I thought there was no better place to start than Lesson 1.
